§ 2.90.240. Improper influence in borough grants, contracts, or leases.

A.

An employee, or an immediate family member, may not attempt to acquire, receive, apply for, be a party to, or have a personal or financial interest in a borough grant, contract, or lease if the employee takes or withholds official action that affects the award, execution, or administration of the grant, contract, or lease.

B.

The mayor may formally waive this section after determining that it is in the best interest of the borough to do so. Any waiver of this section shall be in writing and shall set forth the reasons for the waiver. The waiver shall be forwarded to the assembly president, to be confirmed by the assembly by motion.
