§ 5.28.600. State and federal grants.

A.

The assembly has the power and authority to appropriate funds and accept grant offers from state and federal agencies.

B.

The assembly may authorize the mayor or designee to enter into grant agreements with state and federal granting agencies.

C.

All rights, powers and authority pertaining to grants, and the administration of grants, are vested in the mayor or designee.

D.

The assembly may authorize the mayor or designee enter into contracts with incorporated entities, including organized municipalities, to assist the borough in performing under the terms and conditions of grant agreements.

E.

When, in the opinion of the borough attorney, it is determined that certain mandated provisions of a grant agreement regarding procurement are inconsistent with this chapter, the grant provisions shall take precedent.
