§ 5.12.295. Application of property tax payments.
A.
Payments on property tax accounts shall be applied to the oldest balance due, by tax year, in the following order: first to accrued fees and costs, then accrued interest, then accrued penalty, then to the tax principal; and then the next oldest balance due, in the above order, and so forth, until the payment is applied in full; except as otherwise provided in this section.
B.
The borough may by written agreement, or shall by court order, vary the application of payments.
