§ 20.70.040. Application—Petition required.

A.

A platted right-of-way or platted public area may not be vacated, except upon petition by resolution of the governing body from a municipality in which the property is located or by the owners of the majority of land fronting or abutting the right-of-way or public area to be vacated. The petition shall be filed with the planning commission.

B.

A petition to vacate a utility easement only must be submitted by the owners of the land subject to the easement.
